Description

When I was a small boy, I walked across the field to my granny's house. When I spent the night, I would lie in my room and stare out the window, watch all of the trees scrape against the window. I watched the rain beat down on the road, and I imagined a wolverine walking slowly down it; he would quietly open my door, crawl under my bed, and eventually grab me when the time is right and take me away, never to be seen again.

I can definitely relate the image to the title. It's that expanse of branching shadows cast on the entire house. Looks like it's being with held by gnarly, monstrous hands. The high contrast makes this scene all the more unsettling, and all the more real. It's like, the moment monsters can roam in daylight, they can't be anything but really real.

If you know what I mean.
